Katsina Govt Signs Agreement With Foreign Football Scouts

Katsina State Government has signed an agreement with some foreign football coaches to come to the state for selection of talented youth from the State Football Academy for an oversee training to expose their talent to the outside world.  

The state Governor Dikko Umar Radda confirmed this, when he officially unveiled the Katsina Football Academy after a friendly match held at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina metropolis as part of activities marking his one hundred days in office.

 Dikko Radda promised that his administration is more determined to ensure young footballers from Katsina state advanced further to join the most popular football teams in Nigeria and beyond.

He said government is    up and doing to ensure that youths in the state become more productive and self-reliant.

 This he said, prompted the desire of his administration to establish an enterprise development Agency in the state.

The agency he said, would provide skills training for youths, empower them with capital to set up businesses of their own as employers of labour.

Governor Dikko Radda who also presented a trophy to Malumfashi football Academy   after defeating Alheri academy Katsina appreciated the organizers of the competition and popular veteran footballers Tijjani Babangida and Austine Egabor for witnessing the match.

Earlier, the Commissioner for youths and sports, Yusuf Rabi’u Jirdede identified football as a reliable business venture worthy of pride among our youths.

He thanked Governor Dikko Radda for his resolve to come up with the football Academy intended to engage willing and committed youth’s into sports.
